
Emily Ng
Emily Ng is a current Third-Year undergraduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS)’s Faculty of Arts and Social Science (FASS). She is majoring in Global Studies and Political Science. who focuses her learning specifically on Global Studies, Political Science, China Studies and Asian Studies. An enthusiastic and inquisitive learner, reader, and writer, Emily is very academically motivated and meticulous in her work.
As a firm advocator of interdisciplinary and holistic education, Emily has diverse interests and disciplinary knowledge across different subject fields. Some of these interests include Sociology, Japanese Studies, History, Philosophy and Literature. With her diligence and immense passion for learning, she enjoys learning holistically and believes that the intersections of various subjects have helped her learn multiple perspectives on society and life.
Emily’s keen interest in language learning has helped her to learn about the world, Arts and Sciences. She is fluent and bilingual in Chinese and English and is currently learning Japanese and Korean too.
Academics aside, Emily is close to and loves her family. Her family supports and encourages her in her studies. In her free time, she enjoys reading Literature and Philosophy and writing poetry, prose, and philosophical reflections.
